Most drivers do not use even 50% of what a car can do. Of those that try to attain the 75% level of what a car can do nearly 90% end up wrecking a fine car because of ignorance of how a car behaves when pushed.
Q: Do you recommend a 350z for a first time buyer or what car do you suggest?
I am in my mid-20s and I am a first-time buyer for a car. I really, REALLY like the Nissan 350z. I have found a couple of 2004 350z’s that are within my budget. Do you recommend a 350z for my first purchase? If not, what other cars do you suggest? I really need your help!
A: Great car, but you have to look at your needs. 2 seat cars limit
what you can carry. Be realistic with yourself, looks aren’t
everything, will you have alot of people or any animals riding
with you? Do you shop alot? How bout winter driving, getting
in and out of a sports car all the time. Insurance costs, etc.
Otherwise its a hot car!!

A: the nismo exhaust is by far te best preforming and sounding exhaust. go on youtube to check out the different sounding exhaust. but the only bad thing of the nismo is the mrsp is like 1200. but its the price for the best. and you can get this exhaust at your local nissan dealership
Q: what are the best parts for a 2003 nissan 350z for the price?
i am currently deployed in africa for 15 months, and want to put some money into my Z. it’s a 2003 enthusiast, i already have nismo intake, stillen center exit exhaust, nismo spoiler, and plan on getting 20″ axis penta wheels w/ toyo tires and sparco racing seats.
i’m looking for anything i can do to make it faster first off, i like nismo parts but they don’t have everything and they’re pretty expensive, any ideas on stuff like plugs, ignition wires, etc? i do plan on getting twin turbo later, any suggestions or arguments why not?
also lookin to customize, wanna do some custom interior work like trim painting, stuff like that, also does anyone know of good body parts? i know stillen has a project 350z that’s nice and is a good guide to look off of, just seein if anyone else has some good ideas for me. if you have links to check stuff out let me know!

Like my girlfriend want to buy a used 350z n she thinks that a car with 50,000 miles like if its have 90,000 or 75,000 or 100,000 miles is alot n im not sure ither so its it bad? can it last alot. Im thinking about a nissan 350z 2003 & up. & can i put normal tires not sport tires on it?
A: i have worked on Nissan’s at a Nissan dealership for 10 years and the 350z is a great car its all how there treated i have seen them get a lot of abuse and they take it 50000 miles is not much miles at all they are 200000 mile car at least and BOY ARE THEY FUN TO DRIVE yes you need performance tires and stay with the sizes that are on them those are the only tires that are made in there sizes the front and back are different sizes and are important for the way they perform Goodyear has them in there size and aren’t bad price stay away from the Firestone’s for them they don’t grip well and they cost more
Q: What do i need to do to keep my 350z running until it dies on me ?
I a planning on buying an 2004 350z with 46,000 miles on it. What should i do to keep it running until i have to get a new car. Please be specific and list all the basic things i need to. And long will engine last me if i do all the things i need to do on it. Like how many miles
A: There are 4 most important maintenance items in your engine and tranny (the most expensive parts of the car).
(1) engine oil (3k – 5K miles)
(2) tranny oil (30K miles)
(3) coolant (3 years)
(4) timing belt (60K miles)
Just keep those maintenance and your engine and tranny will be problem free. I have a 94 Civic with 187K miles and the engine + tranny + suspension runs like new. I get 41 MPG (doing 72 MPH). I can get even better MPG doing 55.
Good maintenance pays off.

P.S. Make sure you wash and was your car once a month. The wash will take the road dirt (and salt) off. The wax will keep the sunlight UV from fading the paint job.
Q: What cold air intake would you prefer for a 350z?
I just bought a 2005 350z, and I want to start putting mods in it little by little. I also want to put in an exhaust system and upgrade my clutch, should I or no? What do you think I should start off adding to my Z?

A: You need a clutch upgrade only if you get something like a turbokit or something that woud add 100HP.
Best Cold Air Intake for the 350z are Nismo, Injen, and AEM.
Exhaust Systems-HKS, Injen, DC Sports, Vibrant, Nismo S-tune.
Lots of people get the X02 exhaust system, which is a cheap knock off version of the HKS Hi Power exhaust. Still adds 11 HP, but it is heavier than stock. The more expensive HKS is made out of titanium and is lighter. The X02 costs $500-600. The HKS costs $1000-2000.
You should also get Coilovers Or basic, cheaper Springs made by Stance, Eibach, or Tein.

What am I looking to pay for labor to have a supercharger or turbocharger installed in a 03 350z?
A: Supercharger install with intercooler headers oil cooler and exhaust around 22 to 24 hours Stillen parts. SO multiply by approx 100 dollars an hour keep in mind the mechanic doing the work is making only 25 dollars an hour. Don’t you think a 5 year old motor won’t like the extra power crammed into it? Stillen only recommends Supercharging fresh well running engines. Also you will want the best mechanic in the shop preforming this operation.
Turbocharging with inter cooler blow off valves either twin turbo or single turbo is full of things that can go wrong engineering wise turbos are just kits then your stuck reengineering the A/C system hoses and moving things around to fit properly. I have installed three KITS. Not one of the designs was perfected enough. So with kits you never stop paying. AND any modifications to power start with a fresh motor or rebuild for proper compression.

I’m planning on getting a new 2008/2009 Nissan 350Z, and I want to know if I get an air-intake system and get a dyno tune how much horse power increase should I be expecting and will it affect the mpg I can get?
A: The 350Z have standard of 306 HP
Installing DYNO tune will give you extra 10HP
and the Air-Intake will gives you approximate of 15HP more.
You will get total of 331HP at least.

A: Yes it would look like it should work but it will not fit under the hood and oil pan to frame cross member. However there are some shops using the chevy LS-1 And LS-2 along with Tremec 6 speed trans good for 400 to 500 hp. 1990 300zx motor can make 300+ with cams headers and porting why would you want a 307 hp 350z motor? 1990 300zx turbos can easily make up to 500 streetable hp?

I’m trying to replace the tips on my 350z and they won’t move at all what can i do to remove them?
A: You’ll never get that to come off. You’re going to have to cut it off and just clamp on the new ones.
Q: What are the tire dimensions for a 350z?
I have a 2008 Nissan 350z, and I’m getting new tires and wheels. I want to upgrade to 19″ wheels and tires, so what are the normal wheel and tire dimensions if they are made for 19″ wheels, instead of 18″ wheels?

A: If you talk to Tire Rack they can tell you what will fit properly with the type of wheels you want to use. “tirerack.com” Upgrade to 19″ you may find that traction and tire life might be better with 18″ plus tires will cost less. Most of My customers like NISMO “RAYS” forged wheels with Bridgestone RE-010R super high performance summer tires Width rims size depends on what you can afford and what you want to do with the car. Nissan Engineers spent lots of time getting the car to slightly understeer into the turn and rotate with throttle induced over steer out of the turn. 2008 Z all you add is sway bars.

Q: Does the nissan 350z come with a spare tire?
I was doing research I couldn’t find out if the nissan 350z included a spare tire, or if it has the space for one.
A: Narrow width spare under the trunk floor. And the tools are just to the right next to the spare tire. Even on the convertable. Cars do not have to have spare tires if equipt with run flat technology and tire parssure monotoring systems. However all 2007 and up cars trucks that have tire pressure monotoring do not all have run flat tires. Optional tires on Nissan Quest minivan are run flats.
